Wind Dectet Music
Wind dectet: 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 horns and 2 bassoons (often known as a double wind quintet, decet or tentet)
I have arrangements on both my score exchange and SheetMusicPlus pages.
I have arranged these pieces as if they had been written originally for winds, so I try to allow places for the players to breath.
I try to avoid a constant tutti so the music has some variation and voice colour.
I share the melody out and don't always give it to the flutes.
Whenever possible I give any solos to the instrument they were originally written for.
I always write/use natural horn parts for my "classical" arrangements
My arrangements:
Bach
Beethoven
Brahms
Dvorak
I am currently (April 2017) arranging all 10 movements of Dvorak's Legends Op.59.
You can find all the ones I have uploaded here. (Mvts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9 and10)(as at 11/05/2017)
Other works:
Faure
Handel
